The baby gibbon ET is now almost 3 months old. The Dwarves thrives, you can literally watch it grow. Whether it's a boy or girl, from the zoo was not disclosed. Mama Sipura has to do with her full 11 weeks old youth, all hands (see video), while Java daughter and dad Robert was making a beautiful day (see video) ...

Truhthähne herum, die neue Urson-Anlage wird/wurde umdekoriert und die Panda-Eltern haben sich bereits wieder an einander gewöhnt. Updated: Another week with Übersiedeln, redecorate and get settled in the Vienna Zoo: mid-week, two new elephants are fed (see -> Welcome & Kibo Numbi!), Running around, three new (?) Truhthähne, the new facility Urson is / has been redecorated and the panda parents have already get used to each other. Fu Long for all fans: the Pandabub has settled in Bi Feng Xia also okay.

Update 15 December 2009: the initial peace between the two elephants children Mongu, 6, and Kibo, 4, gave way at the weekend despite the freezing temperatures heated scuffles see video -> battle of the young giant.
Update 11 December 2009: Today was a report on Numbi & Kibo in the ORF show winter (post in the ORF TVthek -> watch online). In the interview, it was confirmed that Numbi is pregnant and is expected in about late August / early September 2010 with elephant offspring. 
Update 8 ) December 2009 (new photos + video: yesterday were Numbi and Kibo, the Vienna elephants for the first time meet in the hotel grounds.

In itself, the meeting was relatively peaceful across the stage, apart from some jostling and Schubsereien - after Tonga had from the beginning, their matriarch position clear to the newcomers.
Yesterday, our polar bear boy Arktos & Nanuq were two years old! There was a birthday for the twins and mom Olinka (already on Saturday), a delicious ice cream cake with meat and fish:

Updated, this week was indeed loud calendar November, the weather of spring, with up to 16 degrees and bright sunshine - the perfect weather for multiple visits to the zoo, and some insights. Knowledge # 1: there are actually wolves in the Vienna Zoo. Cognition No. 2: oranges can "to the delight of the visitors' chyme spit lap up and spit out again, again and again - really gschmackig. Knowledge No. 3: personal and gibbons. Knowledge 4: sowas von Eichkatzerl are cute when they take a nut out of his hand:

The pandas were in the house, the men stood on the day before departure to the front door, you could not even go inside. Since Wednesday - the Pandabub is time left in the morning - is (finally eingekeilt) quiet again, everything runs its usual channels.
Even with the other animals, the daily routine is back. Small Urson family has already settled in the new home, the rabbit from the rabbit back in no-man's land, polar bears may be apples to spoil the banded mongoose with worms (see video), the maned seal teenagers work diligently with the Medical Training, Mota has not added (always) not correct for the group to Sundari and is still a hussy that nothing and no one has respect.
Updated! Fu Long moved on Wednesday, and daughter Olivia Ursonmama Ursi have already moved and a rabbit is illegal (from rabbit country?) Exit.

Updates 20 November 2009: Our Lucky Dragon, with plenty of delay clock arrived today at 00:30 (local time) in the Bi Feng Xia Panda Center. The baby is doing well, he already eats bamboo.

Fu Long skillfully ignoring the hype about his imminent departure (see video), two red pandas were sleeping far away from each other, the Gibbonmädchen narrischen had his five minutes (see video), Sipura mom even had a look at Baby ET. throw the oranges were waiting impatiently for admittance into the house, where Nonja pretty grumpy drummed on the glass front, and Koala girls Mirra Li enjoyed munching their evening meal (see video).
